Q & A with Minnesota Women's Head Volleyball Coach Hugh McCutcheon
I think that having an influence on the development of a group of people, on and off the court, is a real privilege and a great responsibility.
I’ve been on a few, so it’s hard to pick just one. Back in my USA Volleyball days, we had a great trip to Egypt where we got to ride camels in the desert and climb inside one of the Great Pyramids of Giza, into one of the burial chambers. It was an incredible experience.
I think every season presents an opportunity for learning and growth through competition.
I don’t think there’s anything I can’t live without on match day. It’s good if our Team is healthy. I like to feel as though we have a good game plan v. our opponent. Hopefully, the bus is on time!
At this point in my life, I’d say that any time or energy spent outside of coaching is with my family.
I used to teach snowboarding at Sundance mountain resort.
